From Edinburgh, the motorcycle tour itinerary takes you to Inverness for a possible sighting of the Loch Ness Monster. The tour then proceeds further north of Scotland into the scenic Scottish Highlands. While here, soak in memorable experiences of Smoo Cave, Applecross and much more before riding south to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Lake Windermere.

You determine your own riding pace, we provide you with the riding route, the itinerary, the maps and GPS as well as services of an expert tour guide also going out on one of our luxury motorbikes.

You get to choose your preferred accommodation options and restaurants for the motorcycle tour giving you total control and freedom of your dining preferences.

Day 1 – Any London Airport to Motorbike Rental & Tours HQ.

Upon arrival at your preferred London airport, you will be met by one of our representatives who will transfer you to Motorbike rental headquarters in Essex for meet and greet as well as a cup of English tea or favourite cappuccino. You will then complete all the motorcycle tour and motorbike rental paperwork, selecting preferred motorbike model, packing motorcycle luggage, and getting prepared for an early start of the motorcycle tour the following morning.

We have a secure storage facility for your travel suitcases and any excess luggage that you may not wish to take along with you to the tour. When all is set, you will be transferred to a nearby hotel, The Mulberry House for dinner and overnight as well as meeting with your fellow motorcycling group riders for the tour.

Day 2 – Essex  to the County of Lincolnshire

After a good night rest and a hearty English breakfast you will be met by the Superbike Tour Team for a short briefing on the days route/itinerary, with a view to be on the road by 10am.Today’s ride is a relatively short and easy ride to allow you to familiarise yourself with your bike and enable you to enjoy some of the UK’s country lanes and scenery. From here we ride north taking some of the best roads England has to offer making our way to Lincolnshire. We will ride through Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk using only A and B roads. Through quaint towns, villages and stunning scenery on to our next hotel which is located in a lovely English village, noted for its WW2 Lancaster Bomber history. Settling down not too late in the day with the evening to spend as you wish, whether it’s to a local pub for dinner and a drink, a peaceful walk out in the evening or a relaxing night in, the choice is all yours.

Day 2 will be approximately 150 miles.

Day 3 – Lincolnshire to the Yorkshire Moors

Today we only have about 4 hours ride to our Hotel for the night. This is great as it gives us plenty of time to play/ride on the Moors. Loads of fantastic riding, wonderful roads, great views and plenty to smile about.
Still heading north, we’ll be riding through the Lincolnshire Wolds (areas of natural beauty) over the Humber Bridge into Yorkshire. We will stop at the famous Oliver’s Mount Road Race Circuit, where we are able to ride the circuit and have lunch at the Oliver’s Mount Restaurant. We then ride to our Hotel and check in early, leaving us free to explore the Yorkshire Moors for the afternoon/evening.

Day 3 will be approximately 110 miles.

Day 4 – Yorkshire Moors to Edinburgh ~ Scotland

Don’t skip breakfast it’s a big day today!

With an early start, we have approximately 7 hours riding today. Heading further north, we ride through Kielder Forest with its areas of natural beauty. This is a large forestry plantation in Northumberland and is the largest man-made woodland in England .This is where we cross the border into Scotland and ride up onto a nice City Hotel in Edinburgh.
Another day of fantastic riding with great views and scenery at every turn.

Day 4 will be approximately 194 miles.

Day 5 – Rest Day in Edinburgh

Scotland isn’t Scotland without a day sightseeing in Edinburgh.
We recommend exploring the following tourist attractions:-
Edinburgh Castle, Royal Yacht Britannia, The Underground Vaults, Dungeons, Ghost Tours, Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace.
Rest or not Rest – The choice is yours!

Day 6 – Edinburgh to Dornoch.

Nice and early start leaving Edinburgh and riding up through Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. This is known for its close proximity to the secluded lochs, ancient forest, mountain trails and ski runs of the surrounding parklands. You may be lucky and catch a glimpse of a Scottish Wildcat or and Capercaillie Bird.
Heading onto Inverness and up to Dornoch to our beautiful Castle Hotel and Whiskey Distillery Tour.

Day 6 will be approximately 165 miles.

Day 7 – Dornoch to Betty Hill

Today we ride to the furthest northern point on the British Mainland, the infamous John O’Groats where we will stop and get the iconic photo, coffee and cake!
We are now in the Sottish Highlands and we will continue our scenic costal route towards Betty Hill, passing the Golden Sands of Farr Beach. Betty Hill is in a great position to catch the awesome ‘Merry Dancers’, Northern Lights. So fingers crossed for a clear sky and a sighting of these beauties.

Day 7 will be approximately 170 miles.

Day 8 – Betty Hill to Ullapool

This is your real Highlands ride, although only 150 miles, this will still be a long day.
Amazing roads and views, you won’t be able to resist stopping every five minutes for a photo opportunity. We will visit Smoo Cave, this dramatic and spectacular sea cave is set into the limestone cliffs in Sutherland. The cave boasts one of the largest entrances to any sea cave in Britain at 50 ft high and is floodlit inside. It was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Then onto Ullapool. This is a picturesque fishing village nestled between Loch Broom and the mountains of Wester Ross. Miles of spectacular views, this is the place that we have the chance of spotting Dolphins.

Day 8 will be approximately 110 miles.

Day 9 – Ullapool to Fort Augustus

Another Highland day of adventure to look forward to.
Leaving Ullapool we first head for the shore of Loch Gairloch and ride amongst the awe-inspiring scenery. From here we really feel the freedom as we glide into Fearnmore, through Shielding, past Loch Torridon towards Applecross.
At Applecross we will ride the pass. The Bealach na Ba, or the Pass of the Cattle is the highest road in Britain, at 2,053 feet above sea level. From the pass, there are incredible panoramas of the bay, with views of Raasay and Skye.
From Applecross we will head towards Eilean Donan Castle. Perhaps the most iconic image of Highland Scotland, the castle has been used as the backdrop for countless famous movies. It is perfectly situated on a small island, surrounded by water and fabulous scenery. Onto Fort Augustus to get our heads down for the night but not before a quick look for ‘Nessie’, the Loch Ness monster.

Day 9 will be approximately 205 miles.

Day 10 – Fort Augustus to Duck Bay Loch Lomond

Heading South with fantastic riding towards Fort William where we will take a look at Spean Bridge and the Commando Memorial. This town is in the western Scottish Highlands, on the shores of Loch Linnhe. It’s known as a gateway to Ben Nevis, the U.K.’s highest peak, plenty of great photo opportunities.
Onto Glencoe which is perhaps Scotland’s most famous, scenic, historic, romantic glen. Also a filming location for Harry Potter and we will also see the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct which carries the railway line for the Hogwarts Express. Also in this area is the Bonny Prince Charles Monument.
Time permitting we will 007 down to Skyfall Lodge. This was the central filming location for the 2012 James Bond film Skyfall.

Day 10 will be approximately 150 miles.

Day 11 – Loch Lomond to Yorkshire Dales

After our usual hearty breakfast feast we will leave Duck Bay, heading south into the Lake District, over the Kirkstone Pass down to Lake Windermere, riding through Kendal, the Southern gateway to the Lake District. This town is famous for its Kendal Mint Cake. Joseph Wiper came up with the original recipe for the Everest conquering energy bars here.
On to Pateley Bridge which is a small village at the southern base of the Yorkshire Dales. It's a pretty place, surrounded by limestone dry-stone walls, & with a stream running right through the middle of the village.
A day full of areas of natural beauty.

Day 11 will be approximately 230 miles.

Day 12 – Yorkshire Dales to HQ

We are homeward bound today.
Our journey today takes you from North West to South East back to Superbike HQ in Essex. Once we land safely back at HQ you can either make use of our airport drop off service or continue your adventure if you have plans to do so.

Day 12 will be approximately 215 miles.

DAY 1

ARRIVAL TO NAIROBI

You will be received at Nairobi International Airport for the start of your Kenya Motorcycle Tour. You will then be transferred to Osoita Lodge near Nairobi. You will be briefed about the 8 days motorcycle tour and will be shown the rental motorbikes for the tour which starts very early in the morning next day after breakfast. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 2

NAIROBI – SELENKAY

140 km of slopes + 30 km of tar (6 hours including stops)

You will have breakfast very early in the morning before setting off on tour motorbikes. The tour itinerary takes us through The Athi plains of the Great Rift Valley until we arrive at Kajaido where we take a riding break for lunch before riding on through beautiful hills lined with acacia trees until we arrive at Selenkay Camp which is situated in the heart of Masaai Land of Amboseli National Park.

 Selenkay Camp our home for the night, is a small private canvas camp tucked away from the busy tourist areas of the park and managed entirely by the local Masaai community for the full benefit of the local Masaai. The camp provides water and offers vocational training to the local Masaai without formal education. The camp has a few canvas tents with solar lighting, beds, mosquito net and a bathroom. 

Selenkay Camp is an oasis in the midst of a semi-arid wooded savannah. Have a game drive on motorbikes through beautiful scenery or have a walking safari guided on foot by the local Masaai, to explore flora, fauna learn about traditional way of life of the Masaai, their cultures, customs, dance and survival skills.

Later in the evening, we return to the camp for a sundowner and dinner over campfire as we reminisce about Masaai traditions and cultures and as we prepare for the next leg of our Kenya Motorcycle tour the next morning.

DAY 3

SELENKAY – AMBOSELI

120 km of sandy tracks (4 hours)

It is time to proceed to the next destination of our Kenya motorcycle tour and we depart after breakfast, as we head to Kilimanjaro, riding through wooded savannah on the way to Amboseli. We ride with great views of the majestic Kilimanjaro as the backdrop of our motorcycle route. We ride past animals along the route until arrival to Kibo Safari Camp our home for the night.

Kibo Safari Camp, is a beautiful hut lodge opposite Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon we jump into a support 4x4 vehicle for an afternoon game drive through the massive wildlife rich Amboseli National Park which stretches over 400 km² at the foot of Kilimanjaro in the form of vast marshy plains where large herds of wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and elephants roam freely.  There is plenty of  lions, cheetahs and hyenas in the park and we spend the most part of the afternoon and evening in search of animals on the game drive until we return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4

AMBOSELI – LAKE JIPE 

20 km of tar and 125 km of laterite tracks (5 hours)

After breakfast it is time for us to depart from Amboseli and proceed with the motorcycle tour to Jipe Lake on a motorcycling trail along the Tsavo National Park. We shall have picnic lunch enroute before riding to Jipe Lake Park our nest safari tour destination. Jipe Lake Park lies on the shores of Lake Jipe which is an off-beaten the track, rarely visited tourist gem that stretches all the way to Tanzania with the Pare Mountains as the backdrop.

Lake Jipe is home to plenty of bird species and hosts large herds of elephants which frequent the lake shores for drinking in the hot sun especially during the early afternoon. We drop our motorbikes and jump into a support 4x4 vehicle as we head into the park for game drives in search of sighting for the many animals that habitat here until sunset when we return to our overnight bungalows for dinner and drinks over a campfire.

DAY 5

LAKE JIPE – TAITA HILLS

80 Km of tar and 110 Km of laterite and sand tracks (6 hours and a half)

Today after breakfast, we get into our 4x4 vehicle again and return to the park for another game drive in search of animals and wildlife. We have a boat ride on the lake in a dug-out canoe guided by expert park rangers in search of hippos and other game.

We then return to the camp for lunch before getting back onto our motorcycles for the continuation of our motorcycle tour to our next destination.

We ride towards Kasigau Hills riding via the southern section of Tsavo West park. We later arrive at the foot of Kasigau Rock which is located I very dense savannah of thorny trees. Kasigau Rock is in a forested area and part of The Taita Hills. Accommodation and dinner for the night is at Ndovu House in Kivuli Camp a straw camp in the heart of Rukinga which is a haven for elephants, buffaloes and antelopes.

DAY 6

TAITA – DIANI BEACH

125 Km of laterite rolling tracks(4 hours)

This is the final day of our adventure Kenya motorcycle tour. After breakfast we get the motorbikes started again for a motorcycling route that takes us through the vast Taita Ranches inhabited by Kenya pastoralists who live in the great migration corridor between Tsavo Park and Tanzania. The motorcycle tour itinerary then leads us to the coastal hinterland with a dramatic change of scenery that is dotted with baobab trees, mahogany trees , coconut trees, mango trees and then leading us through the tropical forest of the majestic Shimba Hills which is home to large herds of elephants until we arrive on the white sandy beaches of Diani at the Kusini Cottages which is our final itinerary accommodation for dinner and overnight with awesome views of the Indian Ocean.

DAY 7

For our rental motorbikes in South Africa, we use premium motorcycle brands, including Royal Enfield Motorcycles, BMW Motorcycles, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, Yamaha Motorcycle models, KTM Motorcycles and popular Honda Motorcycles. The minimum rental period is 3 days in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth  and Durban. The minimum motorcycle rental period in Windhoek Namibia is however 7 days.

Our motorcycle rental booking process for rental motorcycles in South Africa is very straightforward. When we send you an invoice with due date for payment, we request for a 25% commitment deposit to secure the booking for your motorbike rental. The balance is due at least 60 days before your motorbike rental starts, so that we can confirm your booking. We advise very early booking confirmation as we do get fully boked out months in advance especially during the peak season motorbike rental months of June, July, August, November, December and January.

Our main rental depots are in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Windhoek Namibia. You may collect your rental motorbike from one location and return it at another location, but a one way motorbike evacuation fee will apply if the drop off is not Cape Town or Johannesburg our main motorbike rental stations.

We are happy to deliver rental motorcycles and collect from your hotel if the delivery/collection is within 50kms radius of our rental stations. Outside 50kms radius, a delivery/collection fee will apply. We regret that we are unable to deliver/collect from airports as this is not practical and permitted.

We provide for rental excellent quality riding helmets, riding pants, rain jackets,  riding gloves, protective riding shoes and other riding gear at very good rental prices. In addition, we provide for rental aluminium panniers and top boxes. Alternatively hire one of our soft luggage side units which are waterproof and dustproof with a locking cable.  Our rental motorcycles have seats that can be lowered to suit your height and will have handlebars, clutches and brakes that can be adjusted to suit your preferred riding position.

All our rental motorbikes are fitted with standard tyres, but off-road tyres are available and will be fitted on rental motorbike with off-road driving requirements. We change tyres on rental motorbikes every after 5,000kms as standard.

Cross border motorcycle rental from any of our motorbike rental stations is permitted. Cross border rental is permitted from Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth to Malawi, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique. The renter, should advise us in advance about their proposed itinerary to enable us process cross border permits. The cost is R 750 per cross border pack , per motorbike, per border. Please also note that additional cross border insurance coverage needs to be taken out for rentals outside South Africa.
