Day 1 -   Arrival Entebbe Airport
After your arrival at the airport in Entebbe for the start of the Uganda motorcycle tour, we will transfer you to our motorcycle rental base at Arabella Lodge in Bujuuko along Mityana Road. Depending on arrival time, you will have a chance to inspect the rental bikes to familiarize yourself with them, test drive and fill up with fuel ready for the following morning.. Day 2 - Kampala - Lake Mburo

After breakfast, we start our memorable Uganda motorcycle tour as we depart from the hill taking a nice gravel road through a quiet village, passing through forests and locals going about their daily lives. The motorcycle tour takes the Bujuuko-Katende road, joining the main Masaka highway at Katende. The motorbike safari tour avoids the hectic Kampala traffic jams as we drive towards the equator. We shall stop at the equator for photo ops before proceeding through Lwera a nice motorriding stretch of a few kilometers where you get to test the power of the tour motorbike. After Masaka, we continue the Uganda motorcycle tour heading further south until we arrive to Lake Mburo a small national park.

Lake Mburo is surrounded by a lake and is host to small herds of buffaloes, giraffes and zebras. We have the option of a game drive through the park or a chance for a night time game safari with a ranger to spot wildlife and game including leopards, hyenas and bush babies. o/n Eagles; Nest Lodge FB basis

Day 3 - Lake Mburo - Lake Bunyonyi
Today the Uganda motorcycle tour leaves lake Mburo with game drives enroute. We drive through a very beautiful and scenic part of south west Uganda towards Mbarara on a fairly good road. From Mbarara to Kabale we continue to follow the highway.  Then it is a short off-road drive to our destination at Lake Bunyonyi . Lake Bunyonyi is an idyllic photogenic lake with lots of small islands. Bunyonyi means “little birds” and there is plenty of birds here. We shall have a chance for a canoe ride in a dug-out canoe to explore this beautiful and serene lake as you soak in the natural beauty and splendid views of the volcanoes in the horizon. o/n Lake Bunyonyo Rock Resort FB basis.

Day 4 - Lake Bunyonyi – Bwindi.
After breakfast, we get back on our tour motorbikes and depart Lake Bunyonyi to Kabale and onward to Kisoro as we drive through the mountain areas of southern Uganda. This corncer of Uganda has great views of the Virungas and Volcanoes across the border in Rwanda and DRC. From Kisoro, the Uganda motorcycle tour proceeds to Lake Mutanda, another beautiful master-piece and absolute serene gem. You will love it here. Day 5 – Bwindi and Mutanda Lake view - stay
Gorilla Valley Lodge and Lake Mutanda are a perfect location when visiting Bwindi to trek the rare mountain gorillas. Trekking the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a very memorable experience, as you get to spend one hour with the gentle giants. If you don't join this optional gorilla trek, you may spend the day driving along the peaceful trails in the Mutanda and Nkuringo areas. You may also take a boat cruise across the serene Lake Mutanda or just simply relax at the lodge as you soak in great views and reminisce about the thrilling Uganda motorcycle tour so far!.

Day 6 - Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today we will drive a scenic route through the mountains, the road is largely unpaved. We enjoy magnificent views and we will encounter the Batwa and  Bakonzo tribe. We will only return to the lowlands just before Queen Elizabeth National park. We may encounter the tree climbing lions of Ishasha as we have game drives enroute this Uganda motorcycle tour towards the legendary Queen Eliabeth National Park. We will spend the night at the edge of the park, which lies along border with Congo. o/n Bush Lodge FB basis.

 

Day 7 – Queen Elizabeth Park – Kibale Park via Fort Portal
Today you can have game drives on the Uganda motorcycle tour  in the park in search of game, wildlife and birds. You get to visit the fishing communities that live in Kasenyi on the outskirts of the park. Next we drive to Fort Portal. We follow the road along the border of Congo. It is a mixture of paved and gravel roads but lovely to drive on. On the west  are the scenic Rwenzori mountains of the moon. The motorcycle tour goes through Fort Portal as we head towards Kibale National Park o/n Kibale Forest Camp.

 

Day 8 – Fort Portal to Hoima
After early morning breakfast you have the option of an AM chimpanzee tracking or chimpanzee habituation experience. You may also embark on a Bigodi Swamp walk where you get to interact with the locals, spot chimps, monkeys, birds and other primates that call Kibale home. This is a small park that has the great advantage that you do not have to search for a long time to encounter the Chimpanzees. After this fabulous experience we will drive to Hoima . It is going to be a fairly long drive 216 kms !

 

Day 9: Hoima to Murchison Falls Park

Today we depart from Hoima to Murchison Falls National Park, driving through the rift valley escarpment with the most amazing views, arriving in the evening. You will have game drives along the route to the park. o/n Fort Murchison Lodge

 

Day 10: Day spent in Murchison Falls National park, morning game drive and an evening boat cruise to the bottom of the legendary falls as you spot wildlife as it comes to the banks of the River Nile to drink in the hot afternoon sun.

 

Day 11: Murchison Falls to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Today we depart Murchison Falls National Park and head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary via Masindi. This is a beautiful drive with animals encounters along the way. We drive for a fair distance on a good gravel road before we join the Gulu highway. We stop in Masindi for Lunch and interaction with locals at a local market, before proceeding to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a beautiful drive through the ranch. o/n Amuka Lodge

 

Day 12: Ziwa Rhino to Kampala.

Day 13 - Kampala - Departure
On our last day you can visit the capital, visit the bustling Nakasero Market without the bikes. We will arrange a transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
