Following a delightful breakfast at our hotel and a brief overview of the day's itinerary, our journey commences.

Venturing northward along a well-maintained yet serpentine route, we embark on a scenic drive to Croatia's renowned gem, the "Plitvice Lakes National Park" (HR), covering approximately 134 miles. En route, prepare to be captivated by awe-inspiring landscapes and panoramic vistas.

Our first overnight stop awaits in close proximity to the park, where we'll check into our accommodations before embarking on an exploration of the national park together. Renowned for its extraordinary beauty, characterized by enchanting lakes and cascading waterfalls, "Plitvice" (HR) stands as one of southern Europe's premier excursion destinations. Recognized for its exceptional value to humanity, the park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

A visit to the lakes is an absolute must for any traveler.

Day 2

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

The following morning, we'll embark on a scenic journey back to the Adriatic coast, traversing picturesque serpentines. Descending to sea level, we'll be treated to stunning vistas before ascending once more to the captivating "Krka Waterfalls" (HR). Concluding our day's ride after covering 178 miles, we'll reach "Skradin" (HR), aptly named after its picturesque waterfalls, nestled at the base of the "Krka National Park" (HR).

Upon arrival and hotel check-in, we'll immerse ourselves in the awe-inspiring beauty of the national park. Here, you'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters and marvel at Europe's first hydroelectric power station. Originating from the "Dinara Mountains" (HR) on the Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina border, the Krka River spans 46 miles from its source to its confluence with the Adriatic Sea at "Šibenik" (HR), with over half of its length meandering through the national park.

"Skradin" (HR) boasts a charming town center and a quaint marina, serving as an ideal starting point for exploring the park's vast expanse.

Day 3

Commencing our journey from "Skradin" (HR) on day three, we embark on a captivating coastal ride along the renowned "Jadranska Magistrala" (HR), renowned for its breathtaking scenery and winding paths, crafted during the 1960s and 1970s, often hailed as one of the world's most picturesque coastal routes. Those familiar with it understand its allure firsthand.

However, our route isn't solely along the coast. Near "Trogir" (HR), we veer left, ascending into the mountains towards "Izvor Cetine" (HR), also known as the Blue Spring. Nestled in the Croatian highlands near the Bosnia and Herzegovina border, northeast of Split, the "Izvor Cetine" (HR) presents a stunning azure spectacle.

Following a brief respite, we descend into the valley, making our way back to the coast and arriving at "Omiš" (HR). Concluding our third day's journey, covering an additional 163 miles, we'll spend the night in the picturesque locale of "Omiš" (HR).

Day 4

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

Day four commences at 08:00 am with a hearty breakfast to fuel our adventure. Continuing our journey southward, we briefly follow the famed "Jadranska Magistrala" (HR) before veering inland, venturing into the mountains and crossing the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today's route leads us to the spectacular "Kravice Waterfalls" (BIH), where, if time permits, we'll indulge in a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters.

Next, we embark on a 184-mile journey to the iconic "Old Bridge" in "Mostar" (BIH). Upon our late evening return to Croatia's coast in "Dubrovnik" (HR), we'll settle into our accommodations. Seizing the opportunity, we'll explore the historic "Old Town" (HR) of Dubrovnik, an absolute must-see attraction. Concluding the day, we'll gather for a delightful dinner together.

Day 5

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

Day five unfolds with an extensive 196-mile tour, promising a wealth of exploration. Traversing a landscape adorned with lakes and mountains, we navigate enchanting, meandering roads and cross into Montenegro. Our primary destination, beyond the charming town of "Kotor" (MNE), is the remarkable "Lipska pećina" (MNE), also known as the Lipa Cave. As one of Montenegro's largest and only accessible caves, Lipa Cave boasts a labyrinthine network of corridors, chambers, and passages, spanning approximately 2,500 meters, with sections traversed by an underground river.

Continuing our journey, we venture into the mountainous heartland, venturing towards the awe-inspiring "Durmitor Mountains" (MNE) and National Park, a testament to the country's namesake, Montenegro, or Black Mountain. The ascent to "Durmitor National Park," reaching heights of up to 1,900 meters above sea level, serves as the highlight of the day. Our overnight stay is nestled in the highest town, "Žabljak" (MNE), situated amidst the scenic splendor of Montenegro's interior.

Day 6

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

The next morning, we continue through the "Tara Canyon"(MNE) towards the Adriatic Sea. We will now cross the border to Albania. However, before we embark on the long journey, we must definitely see the famous "Đurđevića Tara Bridge"(MNE) overlooking the Tapa River. The gorge is hardly known, and yet the deepest gorge in Europe. Once again, the roads in the "Durmitor National Park"(MNE) will inspire us. On the further way southwest to the coast, we pass the "Shkodra Lake"(AL) and return to Montenegro for the time being, as we visit the "Fortress Old Bar"(MNE). To avoid any misunderstandings, this is NOT a bar, but rather an old fortress. The fortress is the oldest fortress in the country and is located below “Mount Rumija” (MNE) on a steep cliff. The fortress tells a turbulent story of the many civilizations that once inhabited the area. We will stay overnight in a small coastal town called "Budva"(MNE). Today we covered another 292 miles.

Day 7

Day seven beckons with a 186-mile journey, allocating ample time for navigating winding roads as we make our way to Albania. En route, we'll pass by the majestic "Shkodra Lake" (MNE), where the Morača River (MNE) converges. Crossing the lake via its sole bridge, we'll proceed towards Albania's southwestern border. "Shkodra Lake" stands as the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula and, depending on perspective, ranks among the largest lakes in southern Europe, rivaled only by Lake Garda. Named after the historic Albanian city of Shkodra, nestled at its southeastern edge, the lake's scenic route unveils numerous smaller lakes and rivers as we journey toward the "Lezhë District" (AL).

Our day concludes with a restful night's stay at a hotel in the "Lezhë District" (AL), setting the stage for a much-deserved break the following morning, where we'll reconvene at 08:00 am sharp for the continuation of our adventure.

Day 8

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

Continuing our journey as promised, we embark on a 213-mile route across Albania, venturing further southward. Anticipate approximately 6 hours of actual riding time as we make our way to the "Ksamil-Butrint National Park" (AL), immersing ourselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Albania's inland regions. Our path winds through majestic mountains, verdant valleys, and alongside numerous rivers teeming with diverse flora and fauna. While steering clear of the coastal sections, our ultimate destination awaits at the "Ksamil National Park" (AL).

Upon arrival, we'll check into our hotel and enjoy an extended break, planned for a day's duration, mindful of the long journey ahead. Our next crucial stop is Durrës, where we'll catch the ferry to Italy. We've allocated 2 days for this leg of the journey.

Day 9

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

Today marks a holiday, offering a day of leisure and relaxation. The agenda is simple: indulge in activities of your choice, such as exploring the surroundings independently, taking a dip in the water for swimming or snorkeling, or simply basking in the joys of life. Whether it's sharing experiences, recounting childhood tales, or sharing laughter with jokes, the day is yours to enjoy as you please. Above all, prioritize having fun and making the most of this downtime. However, do keep in mind the importance of being refreshed and energized for the journey ahead, as we'll resume our adventure promptly at 08:00 am the following morning.

Day 10

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

The lazy life is over today, and we want to explore more.

As previously mentioned, we have allocated two days to reach our ferry in "Durrës" (AL). Our journey takes us back northward through Albania's heartland, passing through the country's center and the majestic "Tomorr Mountain" (AL). En route, we'll make a stopover in the historic town of "Berat" (AL), where we'll spend the night. Covering a distance of just 133 miles to Berat, the journey won't be a leisurely excursion. Anticipate approximately 7 hours of riding time without complications. Despite the challenges, the journey itself is its own reward, yielding unforgettable memories that we'll reminisce over while enjoying a well-deserved beer together in the evening at the hotel in "Berat". As always, safety remains our top priority, and we'll reconvene promptly at 08:00 am the following morning, ready to continue our journey home.

Day 11

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

Setting out from Berat with renewed determination, our focus remains fixed on our destination for the day: the port of "Durrës" (AL). Covering a total distance of just 100 miles, we have ample opportunity to explore notable landmarks along the way, including the "Elbasan Castle" in "Elbasan" (AL) and the "Grand Park of Tirana" in "Tirana" (AL). With plenty of time at our disposal, we'll make the most of every worthwhile sight.

Check-in for our ferry transfer to Italy is scheduled for around 07:30 pm, with departure from the port of "Durrës" slated for 10:00 pm. As the ferry effortlessly glides towards "Bari" (IT), we'll retire to our cabins for a restful night's sleep, awakening refreshed upon arrival in Bari at 08:00 am the following morning. Life's journey can indeed be both effortless and comfortable.

Day 12

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

We leave the port of "Bari" (IT) immediately after our arrival and a cozy cup of coffee in one of the small cafes at the port and make our way west, across the southern part of Italy, to our later next stay at night, further north, or rather in the direction of "Tuscany"(IT).

We pass through typical Italian old villages on our way to our first stop in Italy, “Caianello”(IT), which includes a riding distance of 192 miles.

We will also stay there overnight.

Day 13

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

On the 13th day of our journey, we're faced with another 170 miles of scenic Italian roads. Venturing through quaint Italian villages and picturesque locales, we'll make stops at the "Castle Boncompagni Viscogliosi" (IT) and the "Cascata di Isola del Liri" (IT). With ample time for lunch and exploration, we'll continue our northwest trajectory, skirting close to Rome while bypassing the city's bustling traffic.

Our day's destination is the serene "Lago di Bracciano" (IT), where we'll spend the night not far from the lakeside promenade. This promises to be an unforgettable day of exploration and discovery. While many roads may lead to Rome, we've opted to veer away from the chaos, preferring the tranquility of lesser-traveled routes. Anyone who's experienced navigating Rome's busy streets understands the wisdom in this decision, even if iconic landmarks like the Vatican City or the Colosseum tempt us from afar.

Day 14

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

The moment we've been awaiting has arrived. Departing from the enchanting shores of "Lago di Bracciano," we embark on a journey to one of Italy's most mesmerizing regions: Tuscany. While the Italian Alps and Tyrol boast their own allure, there's an unparalleled charm to Tuscany. Renowned for its picturesque landscapes and idyllic regions, Tuscany holds a special place in the hearts of many.

As we embark on the 122-mile journey ahead, our primary aim is to bask in the beauty of this landscape. Our route leads us towards "Lago di Bolsena" (IT), where we'll trace the shoreline before entering the famed "Val d'Orcia" (IT) region and continuing northward into the "Province of Siena" (IT).

This experience is one that simply must be lived to be fully appreciated.

Arriving in the evening, we find ourselves in the charming town of "Monteriggioni" (IT), nestled amidst the breathtaking vistas of Tuscany, marking our final overnight stay in Italy.

Day 15

Balkan-Italy Adventure Tour, Motorcycles hire, World Tours Best Motorcycle Routes

As our journey nears its end, we reflect on the long road we've traveled, covering approximately 2180 miles across five countries.

Today marks the beginning of our final leg, as we bid farewell to Tuscany and head towards the port of "Ancona" (IT). But before we depart our last stop, let's marvel at the renowned "Duomo di Siena" (IT). Continuing onwards, we'll trace the shores of "Lago Trasimeno" (IT) and traverse the scenic "Parco Regionale del Monte Cucco" (IT).

Arriving at the port of Ancona in the late afternoon, we've enjoyed another day of motorcycling, covering 167 miles. Check-in for our ferry back to Croatia is set for 05:00 pm, as we know that later may be too late. By 07:00 pm, we'll set sail for our return journey to "Split" (HR), where we'll spend the night in a cabin aboard the ferry, arriving early the next morning.

Day 16 and day of farewell

Having docked at the port of Split at 07:00 a.m., we'll be geared up and ready to hit the road again by 08:00 a.m., setting course for Moon Bar in Split—our starting point on the first day of our journey. There, we'll park our motorcycles and gather for a leisurely cup of coffee. For those eager to return home, having already booked return flights for the day, you're free to depart at your convenience. However, for those with a bit more time to spare and eager for another day of adventure, we extend a warm invitation to join us for further exploration. Regardless of your decision, rest assured that we'll ensure your safe return to your initial hotel accommodation.
