21 day guided tour of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland exploring the best of The British Isles including world heritage sites, national parks, cultural and historical sites, distilleries, and beautiful motorcycling roads.

Join us on a memorable 21 days of pure motorcycling adventure on some of the most legendary roads, visiting some of the most beautiful national parks in Europe. The 21 days of motorcycle tour adventure and fun rides on the best roads in Ireland, England and Scotland. Ride through sharp mountain passes, visit heritage sites, some of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and Ireland, check out historical castles. Ride though hills, lochs, glens and majestic mountains. This motorcycle tour of England, Scotland and Ireland has it all, explore cities like Edinburgh, Dublin and quirky English, Scottish and Irish towns.

Meet and greet in Holyhead before crossing to Ireland. We stay overnight in the beautiful city of Dublin before driving the East Coast to Belfast the following day with a visit to the Titanic Quarter at the docks. From Belfast, the motorcycle tour then takes us to Londonderry via the Giant’s Causeway and a must visit to the village of Bushmills the home of modern Irish Whisky. We then head down the west coast of Ireland to Ballina before crossing into Ireland with a stop over for a water bus tour of Donegal Bay.

The motorcycle tour adventure then heads south to Galway Bay and onto some of the most awesome motorcycling roads of Ireland through Connemara and Ballycroy National Parks. We then proceed to Woodcock hill and Maghera before we get onto the World Heritage route of The Ring of Kerry.

The motor riding adventure of Ireland and The UK then heads to Waterford, a place with rich Viking history. We drive to Kenmare Bay and later arrive to Macroom after riding along the river Lee. We get the opportunity to visit the famous Blarney Castle before we attack the scenic driving roads of Wicklow Mountains National Park and later catching a ferry to Holyhead Island where we spend 2 nights.

After a relaxing stay at Holyhead we drive through the Bowland area forest to Lancaster Castle and then into the scenic and beautiful Lake District National Park from where we drive to Windermere and Thirlmere on the way to Derwentwater. From here we drive north for a chance to visit the Hadrian’s wall and onwards to the Kielder Forest and Northumberland National Parks before crossing into beautiful historical Scotland and finally to Edinburgh where we have a day off to explore this beautiful Scottish city with all the historical gems that Edinburgh has to offer.

The next day it is time to depart Edinburgh and proceed to the Firth of Forth into the Scottish highlands before arriving to Perth. This area is famous for Castles and distilleries and we get a chance to visit some of them on our way to Inverness. We later visit the famous battlefield at Culloden before cruising on the much sought after motorcycling route, The North Coast 500 route as we drive towards the most northerly point of the United Kingdom. We follow The North Coast 500 route up to the top most point of Scotland before driving down along the west coast to the Isle of Skye. After exploring this awesome island with its most rugged landscape, we head back to mainland UK and drive east before joining the Great Glen at Invergarry. We ride through a majestic valley, drive past the famous Ben Nevis as we continue the motorcycle adventure to Glencoes, the Trossachs National Park and through Tyndrum to Oban.

We continue to drive along the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and onwards south stopping over in  Glasgow to visit Gretna Green. From Glasgow we head onwards and have a chance to ride on a legendary  2000 year old Roman road before turning into the Lake District National Park and then continuing to the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and through the Forest of Bowland. We then continue with our UK and Ireland motorcycle tour adventure south to the Peak District National Park. We drive through Macclesfield and then finally up to ‘Cat and Fiddle’ road onward to Buxton and then onwards to our final hotel stop of this memorable 21 days of pure motorcycle adventure.

FULL ITINERARY

Day 1

 

Meet the group in Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin where you will spend the night

 

Day 2 165 MILES

 

Dublin to Belfast, you ride up the east coast of Ireland and visit Kirkistown motor racing circuit, home of the Kirkistown 500, and Strangford Lough. Time to begin exploring Belfast on arrival in the afternoon.

 

Day 3 EXPLORE DAY

 

Day off the bike to explore Belfast. Visit the Titanic museum and maritime Belfast, the botanical gardens and the University quarter.

 

Day 4 144 MILES

 

Scenic coastal riding, a haunted house, the Giant's Causeway and the oldest whiskey distillery in Ireland are all on the route today.

 

Day 5 165 MILES

 

A beautiful, classic Magellan riding day down the west coast on some of the roads voted the best in Ireland by Irish bikers themselves. A water bus tour of Donegal Bay and great views are a couple of today’s treats.

 

Day 6 195 MILES

 

National Parks and peat bogs galore, as once again you follow some of the best biking roads in Ireland and continue down the west coast.

 

Day 7 224 MILES

 

Visit Limerick and the beautiful Crag caves, before riding the internationally famous World Heritage route ‘The Ring of Kerry’.

 

Day 8 216 MILES

 

Ride around Kenmare Bay and then on past prehistoric peat bogs to reach Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone, then on to Waterford, the home of Waterford Crystal, and the Viking discovery triangle.

 

Day 9 109 MILES

 

Visit a Celtic craft centre, an ancient monastery and then ride through the Wicklow Mountains on the route back to Dublin for the 2p.m. ferry back across the water to Holyhead in Wales.

 

Day 10 RIDEOUT / REST DAY

 

Rideout / rest day with a selection of routes and activities to choose from.

 

Day 11 191 MILES

 

Heading north, you ride through the Forest of Bowland, and visit Lancaster castle on the way to your hotel in the picturesque Lake District National Park.

 

Day 12 158 MILES

 

Leaving the beauty of the Lake District National Park and on to the border with Scotland via Hadrian’s wall. Through the Northumberland National Park and onward to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh – the “Athens of the North”.

 

Day 13 EXPLORE DAY

 

A day off the bike to explore Edinburgh. See the Castle looking down over Princes Street Gardens. Climb Calton Hill overlooking the city, or the Scott Monument, walk through the ‘Auld Toon’, take a ghost tour and visit the churches of St Giles, Greyfriars and the Canongate.

 

Day 14 172 MILES

 

Leaving Edinburgh behind, you head north to the original Scottish capital of Perth, and continue through the Cairngorms National Park to Inverness.

 

Day 15 210 MILES

 

Following the iconic bikers route ‘The North Coast 500’ you ride to the most northerly point in the British Isles, John o’Groats. Continuing this spectacular coastal ride you pass castles and ride narrow causeways en route to your hotel in Durness.

 

Day 16 193 MILES

 

Heading west on the The North Coast 500 again, you then turn south and follow the scenic ‘West Coast Drive’ to the beautiful Isle of Skye.

 

Day 17 180 MILES

 

A taste of how rugged and deserted Scotland can be today as you ride a coastal circuit of the Isle of Skye. The dark brooding Cullin mountains dominate the entirety of the island, and you visit both Dunvegan, the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and the world famous Talisker whisky distillery.

 

Day 18 207 MILES

 

Back on the mainland you ride the full length of Loch Ness and Loch Lochy with eyes peeled for a glimpse of Nessie. Then on past Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles, before visiting the site of the massacre at Glencoe, on the ride to your hotel in Oban.

 

Day 19 220 MILES

 

Heading south again, you ride through the rolling Trossachs National Park and along the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond… on the route to your hotel over the border in the quiet Lake District National Park.

Day 20 190 MILES

 

Three National parks on the agenda today. The Lake District park is followed by the Yorkshire Dales park and finally the Peak District park. In the last of these three parks you will ride the famous ‘cat and fiddle’ road down to your hotel near Ashbourne.

 

Day 21

 

Say farewell to the rest of touring buddies and depart for home.

Where does this tour start from?

This tour departs from the ferry port in Holyhead but we can easily include additional nights to suit your schedule. Just let us know when you book. If you are renting a motorcycle then the tour will start from our rental facility in the south-east of England near London.

Can I choose a different crossing to Ireland?

Of course, alternate ferry routes include Liverpool, Cairnryan or Fishguard, if you would like to make your own way to Dublin and join the route on Morning 2 of the itinerary just let us know in the comments box and we’ll deduct the outbound crossing cost from your trip.
