OFF THE BEATEN TRACK MOTORCYCLE TOUR
MOTORCYCLE TOUR PROGRAM "SOUTH SAHARA" TUNISIA
DAY 1
Our Motorcycle tour team leader will welcome you at 7:30 am at our motorcycle rental base office located in Tunis city center for a safety and itinerary motorcycle tour briefing. Early departure is planned for 8:30 to "Sbeitla" driving via the "Zagouane" . We will arrive to "Dar El Hinchir" for our first stop and lunch. Then the Tunisia motorcycle tour will continue to Sbeitla where we spend the first night.
DAY 2
Today we have a very early start and ride towards the city of "Tozeur". All along the road, we will drive on roads ideally built for the Himalayan and certainly the most famous in Tunisia for riding a motorcycle, stopping in the old roman city Capsa now referred to as "Gafsa" where we stop for a lunch break. We explore the city and spend the night here.
DAY 3
Waking up in the middle of a palm grove in a city rising out of the desert. An extraordinary change of scenery awaits you around the town of "Tozeur". Today we head to what people refer to fondly as "The door of the Sahara Dersert", the Tunisian oasis "Ksar Ghilane" where we spend the night in a quaint guest house.
DAY 4
we continue with our amazing motorcycle tour of Tunisia and exploration of the Sahara desert of South Tunisia. We will explore on our motorbikes an oasis surrounded by palm trees and a natural spring transformed into a hot water basin. To enjoy the place as it should be, nothing beats a night spent in a bivouac, under the star-studded canvas of the Saharan sky. Today we head to "Matmata" through the most scenic roads that passes through "Chenini" and "Toujane".
DAY 5
Exploring "Matmata", a village in the south of Tunisia, famous for its troglodyte (cave) dwellings where Scenes from a number of Star Wars movies were filmed. Then we head to "El jem" to see the mighty amphitheater that is the fourth largest in the Roman world, only coming after Rome's Colosseum.
DAY 6
Today is sadly the end of our exhilirating Tunisia 6 days motorcycle tour as we drive back to the capital city "Tunis" on roads and tracks passing by the famous Islamic capital "Kairouan where we will have lunch and experience the spiritual Islamic culture.
